Getting Started with PlasmaSource paid plasma donation.

 

Welcome to PlasmaSource! Your first plasma donation at our center is an introduction to the process, a way to get to know us better and an opportunity for you to see how good it feels to give life and get paid to donate plasma. Before your first donation, please review our comprehensive plasma donation requirements to ensure you meet our age, weight and other criteria. 

Two is the Magic Number.

Your second donation is key to continue to get paid to donate plasma. Because of strict U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations on paid plasma donations, we can’t use your first plasma donation — even if it passes safety testing — until you have donated a second time.    Your second donation must be made within six months of your first. FDA regulations require all plasma donation centers to discard first-time donor plasma unless they have a second donation within six months. Both donations must be tested and approved for use. After you have given two approved donations, you are officially an approved donor and can donate regularly.  

The Good News. 

The good news is we make it easy to schedule several donations online at once. Or you can work with our friendly team members to schedule your next donation or a series of donations at your first PlasmaSource visit.   

 

Return Visits.

Because plasma regenerates quickly (within 48 hours with proper hydration), once you become a qualified donor, you can donate twice in any seven-day period — as long as you wait 48 hours between donations. Donating regularly is the best way to earn extra money and make a life-changing impact for patients. To maintain approved donor status, you must give at least once every six months. If you wait more than six months between donations, you must repeat the physical exam and health history questionnaire.
